Ronnie Spector’s sister Estelle Bennett, one of the Ronettes singing group, was found dead Wednesday in New Jersey. She was 67.

Police found her dead in her apartment in Englewood, after relatives had been unable to contact her, her brother-in-law Jonathan Greenfield said yesterday.

The time and cause of death have not yet been determined.

The Ronettes – famous for the Phil Spector-produced “Be My Baby” were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.

The Ronettes – which included Ronnie, Estelle and their cousin Nedra Talley – signed with Spector’s Philles Records in 1963.
