A midtown food fight has claimed the classic Cheyenne Diner, a 24/7 eatery popular with cabbies, cops and tourists.
The diner, a neighborhood institution at Ninth Ave. and W. 33rd St. festooned with Native American artifacts, lost its lease to a rival diner around the corner – the bigger, fancier Skylight Diner.
The Cheyenne will serve its last blue-plate special Sunday, said owner Spiros Kasimis.
